i have so much good shit right now i thought i'd share it with you.
i was on the v website the other day, and saw this video of this ten year old chick who uploaded a video of her playing lady gagas born this way. i reckon i like this more than i like lady gaga singing it.. anywhoo L.G found this video and invited her to come and perform on stage with her at her show. YOU GO SISTA
this one song of Darwin Deez's is him, rapping. and all the music is made from samples from the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie! it's hard to imagine him rapping seeing as he's so weedy and dorky looking but it's apart of his new album. you can only get it by posting a Darwin Deez song onto your facebook page, taking a screen snapshot of it and then posting that screen snapshot to wonkybeats@darwindeez.com. then they'll email you back with a zip file containing the album. cool hey
also if you like wu tang and shaolin shadow boxing, or any of that stuff where they use another song as the base, you might like this song, i was bullied to putting it up but listen to it anyway.
both the Mike Posner song i talked about below and Lykke Li's I Follow Rivers was removed due to copyright... sorry :(
- Paganini Rocks is a song i heard on JJJ the other day which i've taken a liking to.
- San Cisco(who i think used to be called King George) are a band from perth who did really well for themselves on triple J's unearthed competition. They played at BDO this year and i only accidentally ended up seeing them trying to find a friend. theres about 4 or 5 of them on stage and they're very good..
Again from Kanye's MBDTF album, i only got this one yesterday and its a 6 or so min song but pretty geewd, a Sam La More remix of PNAU's The Truth (who i saw at bdo... such a good move) annnd some song by mike posner who i'm pretty sure is the guy who sings that shitty 'cooler then me' song. i hope this is a remix because i cant remember where i found it.. sorryrryyrryyry
A couple of bands at BDO (this coming weekend) that i'm fond of are clashing. I am yet to decide which of the two i'll end up seeing, but i've got a couple of their best songs here for you to decide yourself.
The Naked And Famous vs Little Red
Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros vs Bloody Beetroots DC77
